PRINCE2® Project Management

在今天的工作场所, flexibility has become essential and project management a business-wide discipline.

At some point in their career, almost everyone will need to think and act like a project manager, no matter their usual expertise. Your project can be of any scale or scope – PRINCE2® will help you get the best out of it, achieving success for your organisation, and for yourself.

PRINCE2® is firmly established as the world’s most practised method for project management: reliable, flexible and scalable. Globally recognized for delivering successful projects, it enjoys an unrivalled reputation, built over decades.

The University of Gloucestershire has years of experience delivering successful PRINCE2® courses, with a pass rate of 100% in April 2021. Whatever your business needs we have successfully trained project staff for some of the biggest brands in business including Superdry, St James’s Place, the NHS, Gloucestershire Constabulary, Ecotricity and NFU Mutual.

What is PRINCE2?

PRINCE2® (PRojects IN Controlled Environments) is an industry standard used extensively by government, the private sector and international organisations.

Who is it for?

As project management touches all aspects of an organisation we see a wide range of roles on the course and typically these tend to be:

  • Middle/ Senior Managers
  • Project Managers
  • Project Support staff

Which level is right for you?

PRINCE2® is split in to two elements, Foundation and Practitioner. Read on to find out which level is right for you.

Foundation: Introduces the structure of the methodology based upon the seven principles, processes and themes of a project lifecycle. It will equip you with the knowledge to act as an informed member of a project management team and the knowledge to begin to deliver, tailor and adapt PRINCE2® relevant to the needs of your organisation and project environment.

Practitioner: Focuses on equipping Project Practitioners with the practical skills to apply PRINCE2® in the workplace. You will explore the application of the methodology and understand how to tailor and adapt PRINCE2® to ensure it remains consistent with the organisation and project context.

How long is the course?

This course can either be taken as a stand-alone 3 day ‘Foundation’ course – introducing the basic theory and requirements of the PRINCE2® approach, or can be taken as a full 5 day course – extending the Foundation course to cover additional practice elements with a final ‘Practitioner’ exam. Those with a current PRINCE2® Foundation qualification can also take the stand-alone 2 day Practitioner course. This course requires pre-course study – a minimum of 16 hours, plus some self-study in the evenings of the course itself.

How much does it cost?

Learning in a group you will receive networking opportunities to help you learn and be supported every step of the way by a highly experienced PRINCE2® trainer for all those immediate burning questions.
